Kharma Stinks Pretty

I've never run into this before and was wondering if anyone else had? Kharma is almost 11 months old now. About two months ago I was nuzzling her and noticed she smelled really good, like sweet vanilla. Thinking it was just a fluke I didn't pay much attention to it. It's been two months though and she always always smells like this. Anyone ever hear of a cat that naturally smelled really good? I did a 'sniff test' on Envy and Chaos and determined they smell like...nothing really.

I tried searching for it on the 'net and all I got was links for removing urine odor from things cats had soiled.

Trixie ALWAYS smells like flowers. I have no idea why...nothing in my house smells like flowers (that I know of) and none of the other cats do.

For the longest time after I first got Nya, she smelled like cinnamon. I stopped noticing it a few months ago, but it was nice while it lasted! If only I knew what caused it so I could continue to have her smell like that!

Oran loves to rub his face in my rosemary bush.....so sometimes I think he smells like roasted chicken......

... I know, I know ! not the same !

I wouldn't say my boys smell like anything in particular, but each does have his own "smell", and I find all 3 pleasing. You know, like I like the smell of my husband.... they have their own smell, and I find it comforting when I bury my face into their necks

It's really the cats' house, we just pay the rent.

Stuffed teddy bears

My girls smell like stuffed teddy bears. That is, atleast until they yawn. Then they smell like fish breath!

I think it might have something to do with the texture of the fur. Midnight doesn't really have a smell (except when she yawns--whew!) and Star has very faint sweet smell to him. Lucky, on the other hand, smells almost flowery. And you can smell it as soon as you pick him up. With Star, you have to practically bury your nose in his fur to smell his smell. Lucky has very fluffy fur and Star doesn't.

Here is a picture of them so you can see the difference in their fur.

First, here's Lucky:

And here's Star:
