chewed up soft claws

I have two kittens and I tried to put soft claws on them. The one let me do it easily and still has them on. The other one let me put them on but proceeded to chew each and every one off.

Any ideas on how to stop kitties from chewing them off.

Does anybody else use these?

Any input would be great!

Thanks for all the input, I never thought of the bitter apple stuff, that may work.

Soft claws are soft rubber tips that you put on cats claws so they can't scratch, an alternative to declawing.

For the person who asked what soft claws are:

They are nail caps or little covers for the nails to help prevent clawing of furniture (and people). It is a humane alternative to de-clawing.
They work better on dogs in some cases.

Here is an actual description: "Soft Claws are the simple alternative to declawing when scratching is a problem. Soft plastic nail caps glue over your cat's nails. They're easy to apply at home, comfortable for your cat, and won't interfere with the normal extension and retraction of his claws." from petco.com
