My youngest kitty, Jasper.

Well, it appears that my youngest kitty, Jasper, isnt a Jasper ............ he is a girl, AND it looks like I am about to be a grandma again before long. I am taking her/him to the vet tomorrow to have things confirmed one way or another. If it turns out he is a girl and is pregnant, the vet will be able to tell me how far along she is, right?!?

Life may not always be the party we thought it would be, but while we're here, we might as well dance!

Wow. That's gotta be a head trip. The vet should be able to tell you that pretty easily, just like with human pregnency. But I can't be sure, I've never had a pregnant animal who wasn't a cockatiel or a mouse, hamster, etc.

Have you considred getting Jasper...er, Jasperina, spayed? It's important to help prevent overpopulation from getting worse.

Yes, whatever he/she turns out to be, I will have that taken care of. My girls have both been spayed.

Send a message via Yahoo to my5kitties
Are you going to let her continue with the pregnancy before getting her spayed?

My husband asked me the same thing. I dont know. I dont know if I would have the heart to spay her while she is pregnant. She will be afterwards for sure though.
Im just gonna take her to the vet and see what he says.

Gosh, that IS a surprise! I had the same thing happen to me when I was younger and owned a rabbit. I bought a girl rabbit only to find out that Grace was not a girl at all

I'm glad you will get her spayed once you go through all of this

I didnt make it to the vet with Jasper, or rather Jasmine. I had to take my son to the doctor. Tomorrow we will go.

I wouldn't have the heart to get her spayed when she had babies growing inside of her...I'd just ride it out and find great homes for the kitties.

Good luck, keep us updated.
