will tiger kill it?

hi, I have a cat named Tiger and I would enjoy another 1 soon. I have solved all of the other questions in my mind about getting a new kitten..accept 1. My cat tiger is usually ok with other cats if she gets used to them but not too long ago a black kitten came up 2 our door and Tiger went CRAZY. she started hissing at it and litaraly climbing the walls she stared out the window for hours after that and still checks every now and then. did she do this just because she didnt know the cat and it was on her property or does she do bad with other cats now?

How old is Tiger?

I've been real lucky and just added my 2 kittens in when I got them,

but the oldest has always been a wierdo,

where one minite she's liking them and the next she jumps them and bites,

but no one ever gets hurt so I think it was all in fun,

and they all still growl and hiss at each other on a regular basis,

and I'm sure when I am gone the fighting probally does get out of hand.

Hissing, growling, going "crazy" is totally normal behavior if a cat sees a strange cat come to their door. It would be a rare cat that wouldn't have some sort of negative reaction given those circumstances, at least a mature cat. The key words you used were, "ifshe gets used to them." That's pretty much how it is with cats...they have to get used to other animals/cats and for most cats, it takes time, some more than others and there are even the few that will never get used to other cats. But you said that Tiger is pretty good with other cats so, if you introduce another kitten/cat with proper/slow introductions, it sounds like the chances are pretty good for them to eventually get along. I would encourage you to read up on multicat homes and introductions. There is so much helpful information on this site and elsewhere.

Tom cats are capable of killing kittens.
If Tiger is neutered that is a plus, but that still doesn't mean that he wouldn't do it.
How old will your kitten be?
Take the introduction seriously and slowly.
Have them in separate rooms at first, and although you will see excitement do not let them meet right away. Exchange their beddings for several days.
At the last stages bring the new kitten in a carrier and allow Tiger to sniff him and be in control, after all it is his house, right
Also don't forget to put a drop of vanilla on the back of both of your kitties' necks to make them smell alike.
You could always change your mind about the kitten and adopt an adult cat from a shelter.
There are so many pros : with a kitten you'll never know what his personality will be like, whilst the shelter kitty will already have plenty of descriptions on his/her file.

I was referring to the age of the kitten she is preparing to adopt. I thought she was going to adopt a kitten and feared that Tiger might kill it. It makes a difference if a kitten is 12 weeks or 5 months old in this circumstance - Tiger being 5.
