Hi all, new member and new kitten owner, Tigger is 8 weeks and i have had her two days. Its just a bit of advice really my kitten is meiowing in the litter tray when she wees, im not sure if this is normal or what, i did look and its only a tiny bit of wee, i know shes small but i dont know how much should be there, she drinks a little is eating ok and passing food ok but she some times meiows doing this too. I have never had a cat before, so any advice is greatly appriciated. Is this normal or should i get her to the vets run x

The meowing and small amount of urine (although they don't make much at that age), may mean she has a blockage or infection and is in pain. Please get her to the vet right away, this can be life threatening, especially in such a young one. She should be going to the vet anyway...first thing to do with a new kitten is a vet visit to make sure all is well.

Edited to add:

Where are my manners? Congrats on the new baby, welcome to the forum and post some pics for us

Totally agree with Doodlebug...early on, kittens will discharge a lot of their fluids in the stool instead of in urine...but the meowing in the litterbox is a bad sign. I'd take the kitten to the vet soonest.
