Will he fight her?

Hi. I own a 4 year old female, fixed cat. Since August we've been having as a visitor an X year old male, not at all fixed cat, who I'm sure lives or wanders a block away. They really look like each other, so perhaps they're related! Anyway, he comes here for food and water, stays for a while, and then leaves. I know for a fact this guy likes to fight; he comes with a new scar almost every day and is very threatening (sound and corporal expression wise) to other wandering cats (I assume these cats are also males). So, should I be worried that he'll fight my cat? Everytime they meet there's just indifference. Once they smelled each other's noses, but that was it. Assuming this guy's wild nature (he bit me twice before he understood I didn't want to hurt him), am I exposing my cat to danger? Is it likely that a male cat will fight a fixed, pacific female cat?

thanks!

Re: Will he fight her?

Well, if it were me, and the cat didn't have a collar, I would take him in and have him neutered (and blood tested for Felv and FIV). Most places have low or no cost sp/neuter programs for strays. That way, he will calm down AND there won't be hundreds of unwanted kittens being born.
I would be certain that ALL your kitties shots are up to date. But as for them fighting, I think it's unlikely. They seem to be tolerating each other fine so far and that means they've accepted each other into "their" territory. That being said, you just never know. As long as your kitty is going outside, there's always the possibility that she will get into a rustle with somebody.
