So i gave my dog a bath this morning, she's all dry now, but the cat has been scowling and hiding from her all day as if its a different dog, does anyone know why this is?. Thanx.

Re: HELP!, I gave my dog a bath, now cat is acting strange

Welcome. The reason your cat is acting like it is a different dog is because to your cat...the dog doesn't SMELL like the old one, so it must therefore be a NEW and DIFFERENT dog.

Animals recognize each other more by scent rather than sight. Rub the same towel over both pets, back and forth, back and forth to exchange their scents, or isolate them for a while until the washed dog is able to get some of the "home scent" back on her.
