New cat loves the litter tray
Last week, a new cat arrived on our doorstep. It's the sister of our male cat who came here nearly 2 years ago. We live in rural Spain, and most pets are rescue cats - our new female came a few weeks after its owner moved to Cordoba, and left it to fend for itself. Although the doors to our house are open a lot of the time, and there is plenty of land around, our new female prefers to come inside to use the litter tray. Last night she howled at the door to get in, then made a bee-line for the litter tray. Weird or what?
I wonder if I should simply take away the litter tray. Our male cat only uses it very occasionally - for example if we have a long lie after a late night (ok, it happens here a lot), but it looks like the new female won't "go" outside at all now.
I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions.
