UPDATE: Has anyone experienced this?

We use Purina Tidy Cats Long Lasting Odor Control Formula for Multiple Cats
(litter). We've been using it for years without issue. Apparently, they have changed to a 'New Improved Formula'.

Smitt poo-pooed on my bed recently. We just chalked it off as a 'mistake'.
Until......last night. He peed on my bed. He has never done this before.
We suspect it must be the change in the formula. Has anyone experienced this?

Thx

Re: Has anyone experienced this?

I have used multiple cats formula in two different brands, and have found them to become sticky and bad smelling. I use Arm n Hammer regular, clumping litter, and have no problems. Perhaps the kitties don't like the texture. I certainly didn't! I hope that helps.

Re: Has anyone experienced this?

You're using the non-clumping litter, correct? It comes in three versions: yellow bag with red label, yellow bag with green label, and yellow bag with blue label. If I'm correct, try one of the others. They come from three different plants. You could try one of the others to see if it works better for you.

Which one has the different formula? I haven't noticed any change yet.....

We're trying out Arm&Hammer, Fragrance Free. Wish us luck...

Re: Has anyone experienced this?

You sure you didn't just pick up the wrong kind of litter? I thought all of their clumping litters came in either boxes or tubs. I could be wrong.......

Re: Has anyone experienced this?

Have you rule out any other reasons for the cat using your bed as a litter box. Alot of activity in your home recently? New additions to your family? Moved? Sometime cats act out because they are stressed by changes in their surroundings. Just a thought if its not the litter. Or try changing over to a different litter. I do know Cat Attract litter is designed for cats who suddenly stop using their litter boxes to get them in to the habit of using them again. Maybe try a litter with a litter texture or without perfumes. Sometime cats who have giardia or UTI. Only a vet could rule out the health issues. Good luck. Try looking at the sticky at the top of the forum.
