There's really no way to make any suggestions from the info you've given us. How long has he been doing this? Is he eating normally? Peeing and pooping normally?
The only thing I can say is that very distinct unexplained changes in behavior usually warrant a vet visit, especially if they are off their food or not eliminating normally.
