Stan's new habit: Biting wires

I've never had a problem with my kids biting wires before, because I thread them through a piece of tubing (it looks nicer, and I'm a bit picky that way). My roommate, however, has them running every which way in his room. Stan has taken to crawling down behind his desk and chewing on the wires.

Any suggestions? Anything I can put on the wires that will taste icky, but not mess with the wires?

Bitter Apple spray. Do not spray at the plug areas. May have to reapply a few times.
Thread wires through tubes for Stan's safety.
Keep roomie's door closed so Stan has no access.

Thanks!

I wish I could keep Stan out of the room. Little bugger can open closed doors by hanging on the door handle.

His second trick today, dumping my coffee cup all over my laptop. I really hope when it dries out it still works. sigh.
