Grand Master Percy

The early Kung-Fu masters would catch, and study animals(I'd like to think they released them, too) to discern behaviors, patterns of movement, and problem-solving skills. Observations of the natural wisdom of monkeys, birds, snakes etc, enriched their Kung Fu. Have you taken an hour or so to just WATCH your cat?

.Percy can be simultaneously RELAXED,and AT THE READY.

.I had a plastic cup of water on a table. He wanted to get the water without spilling it. He dipped his whiskers, and licked the drops.

.When we play 'paw-paw' his paw is ready to catch my hand,BEFORE I START TO MOVE IT.

.Percy WON'T fight a weaker cat.

Primal...yet civilized too...

Chica can run foreward and sideways at the same time.

Nito has the ablity to be asleep, yet have one eye open

Both my cats can lick their elbows. Can we humans say the same? *tries to lick elbow*

They truly are ninja-masters. It's so interesting that Percy won't fight a weaker cat!

Re: Grand Master Percy

When Percy was a year old I was at my neighbors house ,and Gallahad,my neighbors white kitten started attacking his tail. Percy's expression never changed,he continued contemplating a potted fern as Gallahad bapped his gently swishing tail, and bit his tail tip. Finally,Percy stood up,and still ignoring his small foe stood up,and stretched, revealing his full size. Gallahad quickly found something else to amuse himself. Percy strolled to the kitchen, not a care in the world-just taking a second to irritably lick his tail.
