Talking This has to be a record! Introductions

So kyra and tucker met each other for the first time on Monday in the vets office. All his tests came back negative so the vet gave us the go ahead to begin introductions. Monday night we did nothing because they had both had shots. Tuesday we started in earnest and today the cats gave us the okay to meet face to face. Kyra is already friendly and playing with tucker! Tuck is a little more aloof to her but non aggressive.

I can't believe how quickly she warmed to the idea of a kitten running around!

Excellent! It's nice when things go well quickly. My sister got a new kitten years ago and didn't realize there was a good way to introduce them, she plopped Midnight in with Spalding and they have been buds ever since lol. Too bad they all don't go that easy

I've never given my cats a "proper introduction". I have always let them get to know each other right away. Never have had a problem.

That method works great until it doesn't work.

I live in a studio apartment, so I really can't do proper introductions either.
Paizly can be rather cranky about me bringing home foster kittens, but she doesn't really DO anything about it (other than stay in her bed and hiss and growl).

Nebbie LOVES having new playmates, though. A'course, she'll start playing, then when it gets too rough (yes, with kittens half her size), she starts growling and comes running to me "Moooom, they're being mean!" ...well, YOU started it! LOL

What he said. I'm still dealing with the fallout of not doing a proper introduction...
