But why are they so needy of lap-time all the time? They'll only step down if I (gently but firmly) push them off, they can stay on my lap all day if I let them. I feel I can't move freely anymore. And they give me such a guilt-trip when I push them off, dirty looks and whining and retreating to their corners to sulk and woe-is-me.
They're former strays, adopted as adults, but not so recently anymore - 2, 1.5 and 1 years ago.
I'm afraid I may be doing something wrong to cause this.
