Cat constantly wants to be outside

I have a one year old ragdoll named Abby and she wants to be outside all the time. I let her out in the backyard twice a day for a couple of hours each time but what annoys me is that after awhile she'll meow to get back in and then once in....she meows immediately to get out.

Consequently, we don't spend as much time together like we used to, but I feel bad of depriving her of the joy of being outside, so I got a cat door. Well the door that opens up to the backyard is made of aluminum,( I think aluminum, feels like it) if I'm not mistaken you can't use that for a cat door because it's too hard to cut through, correct me if I'm wrong.

What do you think I should do to stop this constant meowing....Ideally I would let her out a couple of hours once a day and then not hear her meow the rest of the day. Can I use a window that leads to the backyard for a cat door?

If the window isn't too high I don't see why not. You could also buy a cheap wooden door to install a cat door into. Are you renting? If that's the case just switch the doors back before leaving the place.

My mom's cat does this all day. It drives us all crazy.
We put her out, she comes in, then wants back out then wants back in...wash, rinse, repeat.

Sometimes if we ignore her demands to go outside she'll go occupy herself with something else. We haven't been able to find anything that stops the constant in-out game all day.

During the summer we'll leave a window open for her so she can come and go as she pleases: outside there is a table under the window for her to land on, and inside there is a chair so she can come and go on her own more easily.

I have the same problem with two out of my three. One is a ragdoll. In the summer and warm months I let them out while I'm out with them and put them on a harness when I can't supervise. Now they both run out the back anytime I go outside which is annoying. The ragdoll meows sometime but gives up after s while. I don't mind that just the dashing that worries me. I say just ignore it... Eventually they will realize they can't be out all the time.

I have a kitty door and when they see me through the patio door, they still sit there and meow for me to open it. But eventually they use the door if they really want in or out! However, I had to keep the kitty door closed because of all the critters they bring in that they catch.
