New cat owner :-)

Hello everyone!

I'm a first time cat owner. I adopted a kitten from a shelter near my house a few months ago. He's super attached to me, but didn't pay much attention to my boyfriend. Do cats usually connect with just one person?

Cats can be very loyal to one person and almost hostile to anyone else or at the very least indifferent. If you want to try and change the dynamics you could try sharing the feeding, playing, petting and snack responsibilities with BF in order to help him bond with the cat. This kind of bonding is not unusual at all, really. Welcome to the forum!! Your kitty is quite cute! Name? Thank you for adopting and saving a life.
