Using the Clothesline

Whenever my wife and I are hanging out clothes on the clothesline in the Summertime, (we're old-timers) Midnight, the wild cat loves it. For some reason he is out there with us rolling around in the grass. He stays there the whole time. What is it that fascinates him with this activity? Maybe, the two of us both talking to him?

There is nothing more wonderful than fresh sheet on a bed that were dried on a cloths line! Plus a feral cat supervising it.

He probably just enjoys the 'family time' and extra attention.

I agree he probably enjoys to be around people. Our Tosca is a very independant cat but if I'm ever doing stuff in the garden she is most often than not around somewhere in the grass keeping her eye on me.

I bet he also loves to watch all the fabric moving and wonders what the heck you're doing!

Hi Goldtanker. Nice to meet another Minnesotan here.

That was my thought, too! A beautiful summer day, clean fresh laundry flapping in the breeze and humans that like to chat with me! What's not to love?
What do ferals in MN do in the winter???

Cat owners' prayer: "Lord help me be the person my cat thinks I am"

I wish I had a clothesline in the summer. since I live downtown, if put something outside the window I think it might be a little too Beverly Hillbillies lol. but when i'm making the bed, my cats always want to "help" so it might have something to do with the sheets. if it's just clothing, it probably looks fun, or maybe he likes whatever kind of detergent you use.

Midnight, the wild cat, travels the woods even in the snow and below zero temps. The photo in my avatar is him sunning himself on a nice Winter day - at 6 degrees below zero.
