Cool Would you take your cat to a 'spa'?

New 'cat spa' has opened in Mill Valley, catering to cats only....

Kitty corner: Spa leaves its clientele purring - SFGate

Would you take your cat (if you lived close enough)? I wonder if this is going to catch on.

Lol, I might. They wouldn't all enjoy it, so I wouldn't subject most of my cats to a spa day, but Galileo would be in heaven!

I've looked into cat masseuses for him before, though I haven't actually gone so far as to contact any, because he loves being massaged, and I think it could help with his arthritis.

LOL Goldtanker, I saw your name as last posted to this question and I just HAD to see how you responded!!
I had a good laugh at your answer!! lol

My B.B. would be in fits all over the place spitting and hissing herself hoarse, so I don't think it would be a good idea for her or whoever the unfortunate owner of the arm she sunk her teeth into.

Belle would go all squishy soft and gentle like she does (I love that, it's almost like she's a kitten all over again) and they would be able to do anything to her.

Sadie, hmm to be honest she could go either way but my money would be on her making tread marks up and over someone shoulder and spring board off their back as soon as they did something crazy like try to give her a massage! lol

Getting the cats to the spa would be a challenge in itself - if they offered an in-home service (or free pick-up/drop-off), then maybe. But to be honest, I don't think my cats would enjoy this treatment - it's a toss-up whether they would consider it pampering or torture.

I think it would be a little too upper class for Isa (and me). I don't take myself to the spa, let alone my cat. She will just have to settle with my massages and nail clipping.

I used to take Sam to the spa. He was a long haired silver Persian and despite a daily brushing, he would get deep seated mats that he hated me dealing with. I would take him to the spa, point out the mats to the care givers and let them deal with it so he didn't associate me with the unpleasant task. He'd get shampooed, blow dried, dematted, nails trimmed, sani-trim - the works! He seemed to enjoy it but I hated him being gone all day while he dried out completely.
I miss that boy!!!

Sweet Sam - gone much too soon.

I might take Diotima, I think she'd like it. maybe, I don't know. the other two, no. one of them would definitely hate it and the youngest one could go either way.
