Cat furniture

So I was considering getting a cat tree. I've never bothered before cos I only had the one cat, but I know in multiple cat households it's good for them to have some height they can explore and more places to call their own.

My only concern is investing in one and them both being completely uninterested, cos then it's a waste of money.

I bought a soft, furry tube for Shay to sleep in one Christmas and he's never used it, I'm guessing you can't encourage cats to enjoy or use these things if they don't want to?

I just wondered everyone's experiences with cat furniture/entertainment and if you think it'd be worth taking the chance?

I have three cat trees / condos and they all get used. As long as they are sturdy, cats love sleeping perched somewhere so I can't see them not getting used. Mine either look out a window or provide access to this cut-out area above the entry way and all get used by all of the cats. They don't seem to favor any particularly, rather they seem to use the one in the same room as me. I've bought toys and beds etc that the cats aren't too fussed about, but all of the cat trees definitely get used regularly.

My cat tree is the best cat product I've ever bought. They love it. It's not only somewhere to play but also to sleep, hide and scratch. Cats love to be up high and mine is about 4 feet tall.

A friend of mine makes awesome cat trees and I bought one of the big ones before I brought Yuki home. It's very sturdy and she absolutely loves it! She scratches the heck out of it and leaves the furniture alone. Best thing I could have got for her

Ah thanks everyone. In that case I'll definitely be investing. I suppose it's more interesting than your average toy cos they can climb it!
