Just so happy he isn't eating dry food? Canned food is usually much more palatable for a cat.

My cats get all growly when I give them shredded canned food (like Weruva or Soulistic) but not when they eat pate. It's funny to see them being wild little cats while they eat.

Canned kitty food is like canned crack food for my older cat even tho I feed all my cats the same amount ( or try to ) when he knows the rest are done eating he will literally go over to their spot where they were eating and sniff around looking for any kind of morsel they might of left behind he will sniff in their spot for a good 5 or 10 minutes till he feels satisfied that he got all the food up.

When Patches was little he'd wolf his food down and then pace back and forth by Inky while he was eating. Patches couldn't stand the fact that Inky was going to eat his food because he wanted it. So if he got too close Inky would show him "the claw". He'd lift up his paw and show his claws to keep Patches away.
