Introducing myself - cat intro problems

Hi, my name is Juliet and have 3 cats Jingles, Holburn, and Rizz. Rizz is a 12 week old kitten, and I am finding it hard to introduce Rizz to the other 2 cats. I have kept her in a separate room, but when I do take her out into the rest of the house Holburn just hisses, and Jingles just runs away. I have just ordered some feliway plugins, so hopefully that will make things easier. Anyway that's me and my clan.

It's very normal for cats to hiss at each other. As long as they aren't fighting, there is no problem.

I went through this process too. Introduced a 6 month female to my 1 year old male.

Whole process took about a week and now they get along great. The first few supervised visits, they did nothing BUT hiss. They never fully got into a cat fight though.

Hi, Juliet!!! Try getting everyone to play together. Set aside some time where you play with Jingles,Holburn, and Rizz. This sometimes smoothes over what can be a bumpy road. How old are the other 2 cats?

Aren't they characters?

Hi, thanks for the advice. Jingles is 7, Holburn is 2 and Rizz is meant to be 13 weeks (I don't believe it, I feel she is a lot younger. I think I was lied to about her age, but that's a long story). Jings only comes in to sleep and eat, Holburn can now be in the same room as Rizz, but still hisses. Haven't received the feliways yet, but hopefully they will work

In addition to getting them to play together, try feeding them together. If they hiss at first, that's fine, just keep doing it. They'll start associating the food with one another (which is positive, right?). And just make sure you don't show stress when they hiss at each other (they'll just pick up on your stress), so try to stay calm. I've had good luck with Feliway diffusers. Good luck!

Also, use treats when they are all together. The yummier the better. That way they associate good things with being together with the new little one.
