Arwen brought me a present this morning :(

Not five minutes after I let Arwen out of the garage this morning, she brought me a nice, big furry present with a long tail Now, she has already eaten a can of cat food this morning, so she is not hungry, so I have a feeling she is going to leave this for me. She keeps mewing for me to go out there, but my inside cats are fighting at the door to get out there, so I don't want to open the door more than a crack. I did crack the door and tell her how thoughtful she was and that it was a lovely rat, but I'm not going out there. She is sitting waiting for me to come admire it. I am a bad cat mother, but I am NOT going out there!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I wasn't 100% sure Marcia, which is another reason I only cracked the door, and she was far enough away. Either it was dead or it was playing dead really well.

ROFL!! Oh what a lovely prezzy!!! Now that is some of the finest of fine! She REALLY likes you lots!
I just have this mental picture of you cowering at a cracked door, trying to talk to a cat that wants to SEE appreciation in the meantime there's a small herd at your feet hearing the "call of the wild" or smelling it, should I say, and they are salivating thinking, "Yea, mom.. go on, we'll help ya eat it.. we can shaaaaaaarrrre!! Oh c'mon, mom, just open the door a liiiiiittle bit fuuuuuuurrrther... that's it.. a little mooooore..."

I agree with this. You are the center of Arwen's attention with this kind of gift. Congratulations!

What a sweet little girl you have! She is thanking you for keeping her warm in the garage during those cold nights!

Oh, I have no doubt, my little herd of of monsters in the house could smell that thing out there, they were wired! They wanted out there. It was comical. I did make myself go out there and tell Arwen what a good girl she was and how thankful I was for the gift, and managed a few little pats on her back before I almost died and ran back inside. Not to be too graphic, but the thing is now.......just part of what it once was. Minus some vital organ. And a head. I guess I was graphic after all, SORRY I can't move it.....I told my husband this will be waiting for him if she doesn't take care of the rest of it, because I just CANNOT!!!
