Fostering siblings cats for a little bit need advice.

Basically, my sister's house burnt down and her cats need a place to stay. I currently have a male cat, and I believe both her cats are males (At least one is) I have a room ready to quarantine and my dad is picking us up an extra litter box. My cat is going to the vet on Wednesday. I think one of her cats is going to the vet first because he is older and inhaled a lot of smoke and I'll be getting him Monday.

Any advice for this situation? When I got my cat from a shelter three years ago they said that he was good with cats. That was three years ago though and he hasn't been around other cats since. (And we don't know his history as we got him at three)

How wonderful you are able to take in the cats! This website is often recommended for cat-to-cat introductions: Cat-to-Cat Introductions | Little Big Cat.

That would be great if everybody got along right away, but they may not, so be patient! I'm sure the stress of being in a new home and any residual issues from smoke inhalation, etc. for your sister's cats may have them a little more on edge than usual. Please keep us updated on how everything is going! We have lots of members here who have introduced adult cats, so hopefully they will have some more advice for you!
