Environmental Enrichment at the Shelter

Here are some photos of the 'inmates' interacting with the Cat Grass boxes that I provide for the shelter.

By the end of a week the grass boxes are pretty much trashed. At the moment I have 8 in rotations but I think I'll need to up that to at least 12 so that the grass has a longer R'n'R period LOL!.

Jen, That is so awesome! The 'inmates' get to feel, sniff, nibble and Nap on fresh grass!!

They go completely crazy over it, which is fantastic. I have at last found a way to make a regular contribution; now that I can't foster, that I can manage and that makes a difference in the cat's lives. Me happy!

I have a love/hate relationship with cat grass. I love growing it and my cats love it, but frankly I hate finding the piles of regurgitated cat grass on the floor.

I love the tabby sacked out on it!

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Our home belongs to Hera, Zeus, and Athena.
And there are some humans here too!
