Bad Santa!

Poor Neelix, he's having the WORST Christmas. First we all got food poisoning (them and I). We're feeling a lot better but nowhere near 100% yet.

Then this strange little woman who talks, sneezes, and coughs REALLY loud came home with me today. Seriously, my mom thinks that sneezes should be a broadway chorus line. She doesn't just let out little coughs, she hacks like she's bringing up a lung. Neelix ventures out but stays behind me or runs back to his room everytime she makes a noise.

Earlier she was singing along to Mitch Miller on the turntable (yes, you read that right) and he thought the world was ending. I found him hiding behind the armchair in his room.

NOW BOOK.. is in seventh heaven. He *worships* my mom. When she's here he's never more than a few feet away from her. When she was singing away he was sitting next to her on the couch rubbbbinngggg on her hands and purring like a truck. She took off her coat and he rolled around on it in ecstasy.

So Neelix just has to get used to your mom. Maybe she would like to help with some treats and quiet behavior when he is around? I am sorry for the food poisoning. That stuff is exhausting.

She shared her whip cream (from her hot chocolate) and gave him some of my plain bland unbuttered toast. Both times he snatched and ran.

I have no doubt he'll adore her just as much as Book does. She loves the cats and shares her food and cuddles with him.

ROFL giz! I was thinking the exact same thing as I read MowMow's post.

Sorry the tums were all poorly over Christmas.

Oh, you KNOW that Neelix is soon going to be pushing Book out of the way to get to your mom's offerings! LOL I can just see his reactions thinking what is that!?

Lol, gotta love Book's reaction. I'm sure Neelix will come around in no time, competing for pets and attention and be his usual kitten self, not too worried about him, lol.

Hope you've all recovered from the food poisoning, though! Sometimes it can be just horrible, especially if you know what the culprit food item was...my cousin had a bad case once, leaving her so dehydrated she had to be rushed to the ER. She never looked at potato salad quite the same way again, and avoided it for several years!

It was a steak from Trader Joe's. This past Thanksgiving a coworker picked up a Turkey from the same store and when he opened it the next day it was rancid. I think perhaps their meat depth is not handling the meat properly.

It was my own fault, the first bite and I thought it didn't taste quite right, Not BAD, but strange. The boys ate it thought, so I trusted them.

Neelix isn't hiding, but he won't let her touch him still, and if she coughs, laughs, or sneezes he heads for the hills.

She feeds him treats but he still does a snatch and grab. It's her own fault though, she keeps pursuing him. She followed him yesterday until he escaped into the pot cabinet and then stuck her head inside imploring him to come out. Of course her hearing aid wasn't in so she was yelping at him. He's just not used to loud.

As for little, she used to be 4'8, now I'd be surprised if she was 4'5. She's quite tiny.
