Cat nips me

My cat bit my arm because I touched his back and he didnt like it. He always does this and only lets you stroke his head.

It didnt break the skin but should I be worried? It wasnt exactly that hard but i've heard of people getting really nasty infections from cat bites.

He was up to date with his jabs but since he is an indoor cat now we didnt top them up.

If it didn't even break the skin I don't see how it could cause an infection......

Hi Tryme,
He's trying to tell you, in the only way, he knows how..."Don't touch me there!"
He could have an old/new injury, that makes him super sensitive on the back!

In the interest of having the best relationship possible, with him, just pet him on the head, or give him chin scratches...IF...he likes those!

As far as the nip goes, just wash it good, since it doesn't sound like he broke the skin!

And the name but the Cat Himself Knows, and will never confess." T.S. Eliot

Yes, he doesn't like back strokes, so don't do it. I remember as a little child I had chubby cheeks that older people loved to pinch and I hated that, and used to hide behind my mom so I wouldn't get pinched.
