New to the forums - one cat hissing at another

I have two cats male and female. They are both fixed. I came here because my female cat has started hissing at my male cat. He is not even bothering her, just walks into the same room with her. I will also be traveling with them very soon.

Any kind of sudden, unusual behavior requires a vet check ASAP. If this is out of the ordinary, then medical issues need to be ruled out and quick.

What was happening when you noticed it? Most cats have occasional hissy fits - even really close friends - but if there isn't a background it really may be worth going to a vet. If there was a stressful situation that is identifiable or something of that sort then it's less worrying. You said you are travelling soon, there may be changes in the household that she is picking up on.

Have you been packing? Doing anything in preparation for your trip? She might be nervous.
