Kitten very hyper after spay surgury

Hello!

I've done some research on this online, but haven't found much. My 6 month old girl just got spayed two days ago. The first day after, she was pretty calm/tired from the day before. Today, though, she has been completely out of control hyper. Running around like crazy, up the stairs, on counters, not listening. I need to keep her calm right now so she doesn't tear her stitches or hurt her wound. I bought some natural calming aid stuff for her, and that seems to help a bit...until it wears off then she's back at it.

Has this happened with anyone else? Thoughts?

Thanks!
Crystal

I couldn't keep my girls quiet, either. As long as she's not fussing with her operation area, I think she'll be fine. Maybe give her a big meal and she might settle down for the night? My girls were running around the same day they were spayed.
