I successfully leash walked my cat today

I decided to try the harness again today. The first time I tried it Caspian reacted much as expected - frantically ran around the house trying to get it off. I tried again today and he was being more tolerant, so I took him outside. At first he would take a few steps, then flop on the ground, get back up and repeat. After a while he began to relax and started sniffing the grass and chewing on the bushes. We stayed in the front "yard" for a while (I live in a townhouse, so there isn't very much yard.) and then came back in. He's now sitting in the window watching the neighbors come home.

Awesome! I tried it with Angelo before... He loved it but then managed to squeeze out from the leash and hid under the deck for minutes. So we won't do it again until I find a more secure method.

My cat Widdershins will actually leash walk very well. We sometimes take her out to the local park and walk her on the trails.

That said, she is the strangest cat I have ever owned. My other two cats will not tolerate a harness and leash AT ALL. Result is total shutdown/refusal to move or catatonic jumping/flipping in an attempt to get the thing off.

Widdershins will spend the first few minutes trying to lick it off, but once we put her on the ground, she just starts walking. Even at pet stores. Nothing seems to phase he though, despite that her normal facial expression is one of perplexity.
