One lap , two cats

I kept both Blanco and Mama in all day today while I was away. I was quite happy that I didn't come home to any blood bath - just a big lizard that must have been brought in another day and hiding. They both wanted to go out but then Blanco settled and hogged my lap. Mama kept coming up and batting him and trying to get my lap. How do you guys manage more than one cat?

for me it's first come, first serve. Unless of course it's MowMow. Then whomever is on my lap has to vacate. Otherwise the newcomer has to wait until I've pet the other and then is welcome up. It's not normally an issue though. Book and Neelix are usually fine laying next to me or on the back of the couch/chair by my head.

My problem is they Mama doesn't like to be near Blanco and I don't blame her. He is always jumping her and today he was about to do it while she was going potty. He stops because I yell at him but she still gets bothered too much.

In winter it's not uncommon on a cold day to find me sitting in my lounge chair with two meezers on my lap. Sometimes side by side, sometimes one basically almost on my tummy and one on my legs. Probably a good thing Mia is such an itty bitty kitty. As long as they don't fight I don't mind.

Sometimes if it's cool, both will sit in my lap or on my legs at the same time, but it's usually one at a time. If they start fighting they both have to get off. Zuba is more tolerant of letting Alkee share my lap, than the other way around. She's mostly wants mommie to herself.

Samantha and Jules both love my lap. They usually take turns, and Sammy is very ok with laying on the back of my chair. Jules loves to cuddle, and he will jump on my lap when Sammy is occupying it...she'll tolerate it sometimes, and sometimes she'll leave to lay behind me. A two cat lap is very warm, hehe!

Thank goodness Alice isn't a lap cat, or I'd be in trouble.

Awww! Sharon, that was so sweet! I've never been that fortunate to have ET go on my lap, lol. He didn't like my lap and didn't like to be carried, lol. He's happy enough to just rest his head or paw on my feet.
