Brown stuff on feliway diffuser...

Any way to clean this stuff off?? I tried water like the instructions say, but that doesnt work when you havent wiped it off at all in months. Tried sanitizer but that didnt work either.

What do you all use?

Its either burnt on or rusty in the little circular part where the stick for the diffuser refill goes (the part that on the bottom looks like a hole for an audio cassette lol).

Just wondering waht you all use

Claiken,
On my regular Air Wick diffusers, I've used hot water and a drop or two of dish soap put on one of those non-scratch 3M pads (like Scotch Bright) and scrubbed the gunk off...
Be interesting to see if others have a good cleaning method for these things!:p

You could try white vinegar too, it's usually pretty good at stain removal

Way too much time on your hands to worry about the way a diffuser looks! I should be so blessed to have this high enough on my list of problems to concern myself with.

I wouldn't go that far.... if someone thinks that's important I'm not about to tell them they have no life and need bigger problems. It's not important to me, but that's because the feliway is out of sight so...... I don't really care what it looks like. If it was out there for people to see, I'd be all over it.

I would try the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers(looks like a plain white sponge). They sell knockoffs in the dollar s tore that work just as well. Those things would scrub off anything that could stick anywhere to anything.

I 100% agree with MowMow. Those magic erasers get EVERYTHING off - even super stubborn stains/scratch marks I had on my (matte) white, crappy apartment walls. They made them look brand new! I usually just get mine at the Dollar Tree, although Walmart also has a knockoff 2 pack for only like $1.14 which also work really well.
