Advice about cats sharing same garden

Hello i just got a 13 week old kitten and i live in a apartment with a shared communal garden and my neighbour also has a cat and the worst thing is that they are both males and i know males fight.
Now how can i make or help both my kitten and my neibours cat get along in the future?as they will have to share same garden with both cat kennels?
Please advise me as i never been in a situation like this before.

There is absolutely no guarantee they will get on and it could be a small spot that becomes fought over. First they both need to be neuteredand then proper intros done. Are they both going to be outdoors all the time? Or just for periods.

Yes little smudge is being neutered on the 25th of march so he still got to stay in and my neighbours cat has already been neutered and hes been living here for 3 years longer.Whats the best way to introduce eatchother? smudge will be both outdoor and indoor cat mostly will be going out to hunt and explore and toilet,he will be sleeping in the flat in the nights as letting cats out at nights is risky.

For cats in this situation I don't know so hope others can help. Maybe it would be better and safer for all if yo leash trained your kitten and just took him for walks out in the garden and became an otherwise indoor kitty. For sure it is safer day or night. A litter box with good maintenance is fine for your cat and with plenty of activities and a well positioned cat tree would be happy cat
