litter box issues

I just brought home a 13 week old siamese kitten which we named Simba 3 days ago we already had a male ragdoll (Meeko) who is 15 yrs old. Meeko couldn't care less about the Simba he is very laid back doesn't hiss or go near the little guy. However Simba constantly hisses at Meeko. Simba has not been using his litter box at all I have tried different litter, a variety of boxes, different locations etc. I can not get him to use his box and it is becoming very frustrating. Other then when in sight of Meeko, Simba is VERY loving he jumps in our arms purring and seems very relaxed and at home. He has two litter boxes to use (one on each level of the house and both not used by the ragdoll or in it's sight) but he refuses to go in them. I am looking for any suggestions on what I can do to get this kitten using his litter boxes.

so it's the little 13 week old kid that's not using his litterbox, huh? it's possible that he was just introduced to the whole house too quickly. did you confine him to 1 room in the beginning? if so, perhaps it is time to do that again until he realizes he needs to use the litterbox to go wee wee! he just needs to learn his manners, I think.
as long as you have had him checked out with the vet and there's nothing medically wrong with him to cause the litterbox issue - like a UTI or something - then I think you should try keeping him in a smaller space again until he learns what the litterbox is for. it is usually best when bringing home a new cat to let them adjust to smaller spaces first before letting them explore more of the house. that way they are not overwhelmed with all the new stimuli. I always remember something I probably read in "think like a cat" - bringing a new cat home and letting him/her have the whole house right away is like dropping a human in the middle of Tokyo (presumably unable to speak Japanese as well) and telling them they're on their own! yeah, just a LITTLE overwhelming, huh?

I would guess you moving the box around to try new locations, new boxes, new litters, probably confusing him even more. So definitely give the small space/1 room idea a try. good luck!
