Update on my cat.

Falcore seems to be doing better. They gave us Hill's Prescription Diet a/d. We were supposed to be force feeding him. At first that was what we were having to do. Now he'll lick some out of the bowl, and then eat some off of a teaspoon. Can anyone tell me if this is considered a good amount of food he's eating now. What I do, is take two teaspoons of the food, and then have to dilute it with four teaspoons of warm water. He'll start out eating from the bowl, then he'll finish up three teaspoons of the liquid food. I do this at least four times a day. His movement has improoved too. He now moves quicker, and jumps back up on the bed again by himself. Is it posssible that Falcore got this urinary and liver condition because our other two cats weren't allowing him to eat that much?

that's great he's doing better i like hearing good news like that.

did you only feed him dry food before? because i heard that feeding your cat dry food only can give them urinary tract problems...

if you look in the "nutrition and health" forum, there is some good info on types of food

but from what i've read, a cat's diet should consist 50% of wet dry. i just learned that today, and i'm going to buy mine some wet food.

Dry UT food is SO not all it's cracked up to be. Glad you switched to wet.
