my cat always get very rambunctious when she plays, and right after a hard play session, or she gets mad at something particular, she runs to my room and scratches the post as though she was fustrated! its as though its her stress ball!!! is this normal behavior? just wondering...(i think its kinda cute!)

least ur cat uses a scratching post. I bought a real nice expensive scratch post but all my cats do is play around it on it jump on it etc. I bought a cheapo one when I first got Angel and well they both use that to scratch on as well as the lounge. anyone suggest i put cat nip on the posts to attract them to that and not my lounge?

Assumpta has a rug that she does that to. She'll be trying to get fed, we'll say "not now, dear," and she'll stalk over to this big braided rug and just start scratching it really can almost hear her saying "d*mnid*mnitd*mnit....these people bug me SO bad!"

Be thrilled that your cat is running to the scratching post for her scratches instead of the furniture...what a good kitty!
