Cat kneads my head

Meant to say this in my earlier post, but another thing that happens is, Every morning, around 5am Willy lies on my pillow, curled round my head and starts purring really loudly and starts kneading my head.

I love the purring, and easily fall back to sleep, but it's the kneading! his claws come out slightly and it's like having acupuncture! It hurts like mad! I move my head, but within 5 seconds he's back. I love it that he's so content, but wish it didn't hurt so much!

I don't want to shut him out at nights, as I'm not around most of the day, so feel mean not to let him in my room. any suggestions anyone?

lol! i dunno... its been seven years and i still haven't figured it out...

my willy BIT my head the other day... i deserved it though. i was head butting him (very gently) in the belly and it pissed him off. he's very touchy.

i realized that if i did lock my bedroom door they'd claw underneath it and ruin the carpet.

i wish i could help.

or you could wear a helmet to bed! bahahahaaa!!!

Scotty does that too, so I started doing this:

Placing a towel in front of the door where he claws, and pulling part of it under the door, into the room. I would then set my bowling ball bag (the heaviest thing I could think of, and the easiest to move) so he couldn't claw the towel from under the door and get to the carpet.

I have a ratty looking towel, but he hasn't clawed all the way through it nor has he gotten to the carpet underneath.
