Frisky male cat

I was wondering if someone could give me some insight.....I have a 8 month old un-neutered male cat who for the past two weeks has been peeing (not spraying) on clothes or blankets. I have heard that this is usually behaviour traits of a cat with a bladder infection although he has also reached sexual maturity (he's been all over my two female cats but he is being neutered next week).
So I am wondering if this is normal behaviour for a randy male cat or if I should be taking him to the vet ASAP.

It could be either, only a vet would be able to tell

Have your females been neutered? If not, he could have impregnated them already and they need doing ASAP! His peeing behaviour could be the beginnings of territorial marking, but could also be a sign of infection or urinary tract disease. It would be best if you could get a urine sample to take to the vets for analysis. Easier said than done, but I find a good way is to confine him with clean gravel or non-absorbant material in a small litter tray, that way you can get the urine out.
