I am blessed to have a relatively problem free cat... but

she did something weird the other night... i caught her in her litter box rolling around in it playfully... she was jsut rolling around in it with her back against the litter... i'm not sure why she did it.

maybe she did it to flatten out the litter because a few minutes later she decided to do #2.

hmmmmmm, to me that sounds very odd. She is your only cat? Sounds like she was trying to pick up a scent, but...cats are such clean animals.

I have one that's a box roller. I figure it was because she was wild when I took her in and she likes the feeling.

Hmm...well Thomas rolls around on the carpet in front of the box. The point seems to be to get as much litter caught in his fur as humanly possible.

The only explanation I have is that he's trying to show me how badly I need to vaccum. A, "Look at the litter on the floor" manuver.

I have no idea really why he does it, but it seems like similar behavior to your cat...so I thought I'd just sympathize.

If you had just given her a bath.....thats the reason.
She was trying to dry off on something soft.

Never fails I give my dogs baths and they are rolling all over the place.
preferrably in dirt.
