You're talking about the amount of fur?

How old is he? I noticed that Holly's tail was incredibly fluffy and then it thinned out and looked really stringy and then filled out again, although not as much. This was when she was around a year old or so. I attributed it to having been a lot of kitten fluff mixed in with adult fur. The kitten fluff fell out before the adult fur had completely filled in. It's a guess anyway.

If he's not young, have you noticed any other fur changes? Grooming habits? He could be over grooming?
