Unhappy Advocate and vomiting

I got some Advocate from my vet on Friday, after Frontline stopped working so well for Seymour. I dropped it on the back of his head as instructed. Today he has vomited about three times and can't seem to keep food down.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Do you think it is an adverse reaction to the medicine?
Or perhaps, is this the medicine working?

He has been bringing in a lot of kills recently, I was worried he might have picked up worms. (I have a separate wormer for tapeworm from the vet, but they said I should leave it for a fortnight after the Advocate).

Is this common, or should I be worried? He has had Advocate once before (when we first got him as a kitten) and seemed to be fine.

Help!

How long has it been since he has been able to keep food down? I would go to the vet if it was more than a few hours.

I believe it could be a side effect of the drug and would hesitate to use it again. Keep monitoring your cat's food intakes, not eating for more than a few days could trigger hepatic lipidosis in your feline. Talk to your vet for other options instead.

Thanks guys, I switched his food to a different brand and he managed his dinner tonight.

I think the Advocate has killed worms that were in his tummy, and the vomiting is his body getting rid of these dead worms. Hopefully no more vomiting tonight! He is fast asleep on my lap as I type.
