Vomited

We have a dog and 6 cats.

About 4 hours after I fed my animals (I feed them twice a day and they are all indoor cats), my 1 cat (who is about 3 years old) vomited, which looked like digested food along with a couple small areas of yellow liquid.

About 15 minutes later, he vomited twice more but only the yellow liquid. He's acting fine. He's playing and didn't vomit after that.

When my cats vomit, it's usually right after eating (eating too fast with undigested food) or if there's nothing in their stomach and they need food and vomits the yellow liquid.

This was 4 hours after eating.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Bernice

Hi. The yellow liquid is bile. I don't think cats vomiting bile esp on an empty stomach is a good thing. It might be worth at least a chat to your vet , if not an actual visit, as it could all be related to an allery to something or an underlying symptom of something else.

I second Jenny's suggestion to at least call your vet.

Vomiting once and acting perfectly normal otherwise is not a reason to go to the vet. Continuing monitoring and if he isn't holding down any food or if it becomes a regular thing (every few days for example) or other symptoms occur, then make the vet appt.

Thank you all. I have an appointment for 3 of my other cats for their yearly check up. I'll mention it to him then.
