Please help: which brand of dry food is better?

I finally managed to find a pet shop that is 2 hours away from my house that carries some of the better well-known brands of dry food (the ones near my house only has Royal Canine, Friskies and Whiskas). I do feed my cat wet food twice a day, but I like to leave a bit of dry food for him to nibble on in between meals. Currently, I am feeding him a mixture of Royal Canine and EVO. But I have to buy the EVO from Singapore which is very expensive. Thus, I would prefer to switch to a brand that I can get locally. Out of following brands, which one would you recommend?

1. Wellness
2. Nature’s Variety
3. Eagle Pack
4. Taste of the Wild
5. Holistic Select
6. Candiae

PS: The only brands I have heard of was Wellness and Nature's Variety but sadly when I went there just now, they were out of it. So I was wondering out of no. 3 to 6, which one would you recommend the most (I have never heard of these brands before...)

In order from best to worst...if they're on the same line they're pretty equal.

1. NV Instinct Boost or Ultimate Protein
2. NV Instinct "regular" Kibble, Wellness CORE Original (only)
3. Canidae, Wellness TruFood
4. Taste of the Wild, Wellness CORE (all other flavors)
5. Holistic Select, Wellness Complete Health line, Eagle Pack

Picking from 3-6 I'd probably go with the Canidae. I didn't look at every formula but they seem less carb heavy than the others. However, Wellness CORE and Nature's Variety Instinct are also good foods if you can get your hands on them. Canidae may be cheaper though, I know it always used to be.
