Holly had 2 teeth pulled

Poor baby. Went in for a dental this morning and had resorptive lesions on 2 upper molars, so they yanked 'em out. She had one removed last year for the same problem. Guess this is going to be an ongoing issue and we'll be doing yearly dentals.

Going to pick her up at 5 o'clock.

Well, it won't go on forever Eventually she'll run out of teeth.

Poor poor Holly. I bet she'll feel a lot better after it's all over and her teeth don't bother her anymore.

Just had one pulled this morning, I'd share my Jello if I could. NOT sharing my pain meds though. I'm sure she'll come home with her own.

Jello shots for Marie. Extra cuddles for Holly.
Sounds like a treatment plan.

The princess is home. She's a little woozy but not bad. She's been sitting hunched on the floor over by the breakfast bar for quite a while...mad at me because I moved the bar stools and she's not stable enough yet to jump directly to the counter.

Two upper molars removed, one on each side. The vet said that the tooth was almost completely gone, basically leaving the root exposed. She had to be in pain, but showed absolutely no signs of it. This really underscores the importance of getting regular exams so the teeth can be checked and doing dentals when needed. She had a dental done a little over a year ago (I think it was April) and in that time 2 teeth went totally bad.

She had a 3 day pain injection (buprenorphine) and has antibiotics for 7 days. For those of you who want to compare prices...it came to $539. The base dental was $339 (included x-rays), 2 extractions $80, extra anesthesia time $70, pain injection and antibiotics $50.

Oh poor baby...they really do hide pain...to well...
Charlie, at 2 1/2 years old, had four teeth pulled, one because it was broken, the rest because of absorption issues...
Hope Holly bounces back quickly!
