Hi ahmadsafadi,

I think cats will open their mouths and breathe fast when they get very hot, for example after a good long play session, but it shouldn't last very long. If it does, then your kitty is having trouble breathing and should see a vet.

As for eating and drinking, it's not uncommon for cats to not eat or drink when they're in an unfamiliar place. Give him a "safe" place that he can get to - a closet, or a shelf or a box with a blanket or towel in it. Ideally, you could leave food, water, and a litterbox there too, or leave them in a location where he's not likely to be bothered. My guess is he'll probably come out to eat and drink when you're not there.

We'd love to see pics of your little guy!

Greetings Ahmad!
Your new cat is just unsure of his surroundings right now, he will adjust in a little while!
A quiet place, he can feel safe in, along with food, water, and a litter box will help him to feel calmer.

Do not put the food and water right next to the litter box, cats do not like their food next to the place they relieve themselves.

If your weather is really hot, his safe place, should be cooler, if possible.
A picture of your new cat, and his name please!

Hi ahmadsafadi,
Welcome to CF. Where are you in the world?
How long have you had the kitten? Cats can pant when stressed so it might also be if you have literally just brought him home he could be finding it all overwhelming. Best to pop him into one room, where it's a small area to get used to. Imagine how big everything seems to a tiny kitten. It would be a good idea to read up on kitten intros too, like Jackson Galaxy. Of course we will help you too

How long is it since he ate and drunk? Both are important but dehydration can set in fast.
