Tremor in front legs?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone’s ever dealt with tremor in a cat? I’m going to call the vet tomorrow to get her in this week for a work up.

When she stands or sits, her front legs will have a tremor. She doesn’t seem like she’s in pain, she walks/purrs/eats/drinks fine. Im able to touch the legs just fine as well.

I’m in full panic mode and I’ve read everything online as to what it may be and potential causes/diagnosis’.

Wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar? What did the vet say? Did your animal require surgery? She’s only 5 years and 3 months old so I can’t assume it’s possibly arthritis already?

Thanks in advance

I've had many cats, but never one that had tremor in the legs. Any update from your vet?

I can think of several possible reasons, ranging from something minor (vitamin deficiency, dehydrated, mold in her food) to major (seizures, weak heart). I'm afraid that this would have to be one for the vet to diagnose

I can't think of any type of surgical solution for any of the issues I can think of, though. Most would be countered by a dietary change.

My Charlie had minor tremors in his head and legs like that the last few days of his life, but that turned out to be from tumors that were squeezing his heart, lungs, and trachea so he wasn't getting enough oxygen.

Please do let us know what the vet said!
