My Cat Harley's Skin Condition

My cat Harley has a skin condition. He has been losing hair for the past 2weeks. He is an outdoor cat and within the past week, his skin conditionhas deteriorated. I don’t have a lot of money to spend at the vet, but prior to taking him to the doctor, I wanted to know if the pictures are an indication that he is gravely ill orsimply has a typical skin condition that would be relatively inexpensive to treat. He doesn’t appear to be suffering andhis appetite is good. He is still very energetic and doesn’t appear to bedepressed.
Please advise.

Thanks so much.
