Allergies in cat

Hi all,

New here! So my cat has allergies to food but I am also thinking it's something in the environment (carpet or central air) but we are moving in a week... That being said

I have given my cat science diet d/d diet and he started shaking his head for a while but stopped scratching but since he was shaking his head and paws we switched to the Royal Canin hydrolized protein diet but he's still shaking his head and paws.

Any other suggestions? Different things to try?

It sounds like one symptom may be an ear infection.

I know some people give their cats Benadryl for allergies.

I save Benadryl for babysitting duties.
