Cleaning Feline Saliva

My wife says that cat saliva is especially difficult to remove from china because of some chemical quality. I tried searching the whole Internet but found nothing. Can anyone provide any citations either supporting or disproving this contention. I just curious.

Personally, I do not eat off the pet plates (except when I am in the dog house) so am not concerned about viri, bacteria or other bugs. Just the "stick."

Can't provide any references, only personal experience. I use ceramic bowls, which can't be too different than china I don't think, and the cat saliva washes right off with warm soapy dish water.

Same here. We use Corelle and china (Johnson Bros, Nikko, etc) and with Ivory and warm water the saliva washes right off.
And, of course, absolutely no problem with saliva if the dishes go into the dishwasher.
