blind cat help

Hi, one of my cats, Shortie who is 12 fell out of a tree last week and ruptured both eyes rendering him blind. He is active (with limitaions of course). and eats well and his "I want attention now!" cry is as strong if not stronger than before, so our vet shares our opinion that he still has a good quality of life. The vet has went on to say that in similar injuries he has seen quite a few cats regain partial or better sight once the initial bruising has abated.
As we have a secure garden and Shortie loves to sunbath all day on the terrace I was wondering if anyone had advice on plants/shrubs or flowers which are known to be safe and attractive to cats? We have some cat grass in low troughs and some catnip fishing pole type toys on the terrace, but of course Shortie doesn't care much for catnip.
many thanks dru & co

I eventually had to get rid of my spider plant because my cats kept nibbling it, and finally knocked it over one too many times. They knocked over my Peace Lily, but it's toxic anyway so it's OK I had to get rid of it. Now I only have two house plants left, and don't seem interested in those. So it must be some kind of scent or taste that draws them to a certain plant. But how you know which ones they'll like AND also be non-toxic, I haven't a clue.

My cats used my peace lily as a jumping pad . They killed it but I wasn't too upset about it because the peace lily was toxic to them anyway.
