Cat fell into soapy bathwater and now has dandruff problem..

The other day, my grandmother’s kitty fell into a bathtub which was still full of bathwater and various soaps and things. Since then, the cat has had a severe dandruff problem which is very visible because the cat is a smooth, glossy black. Is there an anti-dandruff shampoo for cats, is it safe to use human shampoo, or will the problem go away on its own?

Could it be that it's not a dandruff problem, but soap residue? If the cat was not rinsed off after falling into this soapy water, then the soap would have dried on the fur, looking a lot like dandruff (especially on a black cat). If you can manage, you might want to give the cat a rinse with fresh clean water, to get the soap out of its fur. That should fix the problem

My cats and I are allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate.

That could be the problem.
